I am a 25 year old mother of 3 and am overwieght. I have had trouble in the past finding an exercise program that works for me because of my large breasts. Winsor Pilates 20 Min Circle Workout was wonderful-- it's all on the floor-- and it is actually working. I'm also "attempting" to finish the ACCELERATED FAT BURNING WORKOUT (also low impact!!!); I still haven't been able to make it through the entire workout (I'm very out of shape at 182 lb.) but I am getting closer each time; Hang in there because the workout also ends on the mats. These workouts are seriously WONDERFUL for large busted women.

Love Winsor Pilates! I first tried Winsor Pilates 3 and a half years ago. I had had three children and thought I would never be in shape. After six months, thanks to Winsor Pilates combined with daily cardio, I actually saw my tummy flatten- even before children I didn't have that! My posture improved and my back pain went away. I slacked on my workouts when I got pregnant the same year, but I ordered the latest series/pilates ring yesterday and I am really looking forward to seeing results. Will post an update as soon as!

Let me just say...I have bought soooo many workout machines and everything from infomercials, I could make my own fitness review website! But now...they are just collecting dust because I ordered Winsor Pilates. This is the most amazing thing I have ever used. During the DVDs there are some moves that made me think "How on EARTH is this move going to do anything?!" Some of the moves seem so simple...but it is amazing how fast you will see results. I have reccommended this product to everyone I know. This is the cheapest, fastest, easiest, most effective, and last workout product you will ever buy.

I bought this dvd about a year ago. Like so many others I tried it thought it was great and then got lazy and kept it in it's box. The first time I used it I didn't lose weight or look ultra lean, but this time I've watched what I eat and have combined the dvd with a cardiovascular exercise and am finding the dvd enjoyable and yes I am starting to looked more toned. I had a stomach that overhung my underwear but that is now flattening of.This time I will keep at it because I can see results.

Bikini season is just around the corner and so with limited english exercise options here in Japan, I relied on Winsor to get rid of my winter flab. It's been a month and all I can say is that pilates is the BEST favor I could ever do for my body. A month ago I started doing the 50-minute advanced workout (it was the only video I could find) at least four times a week. I can't say that I have a cut six-pack now, but my stomach feels stronger, my body feels more toned, there are less noticable jiggles, my flexibility has increased, and my posture as improved. Rather than just SEEING the results, I can FEEL the results. I'm ready for the beach!!
winsor pilates really looks like a simple excercise , but it really does work.. for beginers and people that are in shape.. you can really notice the body parts needing a tone.

I have been using Pilates for the past two years!! This is the same person who couldn't stick to a work out plan if I tried.
In just 4 weeks I went from a size 12 to a size 7 and the best part..is I have kept it off.
The answer: YES it works!!
Comment by Zoe - June 5, 2006
Winsor Pilates is great!! You become more flexible with every work out. You will see results fast. With the 20-minute workout, you won't even work up a sweat, but you will feel completely invigorated and ready to take on the day!

Wow ! I've only used Pilates for 2 days and all my muscles exploded !
Comment by John T. - June 7, 2006
YES IT DOES WORK. I have 3 kids and am now in the process of getting back to my pre pregnancy weight! This is the fastest so far! And with my belly being streched 3 times, i needed something that really works, and this DOES!

I lost 6 pounds a week with the 20 minute workout and avoiding junk food.

I love Winsor Pilates. I used to swim for 4-5 hours a day in high school so when I came to college I felt like a slob not doing anything. Then I started the winsor pilates workouts everyday. I have never been this flexible and my muscles are as toned as when I was swimming! I recommend this for everyone regardless of weight, experience, or age! It's so easy!
Comment by Lisa - June 27, 2006
It does work!! I saw the video when I was 9 months pregnant, and got it, hoping it wasn't a waste. 6 weeks after my baby I started, and within 2 months I lost most of the weight. After a few months, I was down to a 4 easily, and longer and leaner than I have ever been in my life. I love it. I have become a devoted user, touting how amazing it is. And it feels GREAT!!

I actually bought the original set from Target. I absolutely love it! The commercial does not lie, people really do notice a difference in you when you stick with it for just a couple of weeks. I was getting compliments after only 2 weeks!

It really works! My posture is better, my muscles are stronger, and you can see actual definition. I especially like the new pilates circle!

I love them. It helps posture, endurance, strength and of course the weight issue. I do the 20 min. workout 3 times a week and I've lost 2in. in only a week and a half. They really do work
Comment by J. Oliver Stanton - July 18, 2006
I've worked out with Pilates and the 20 minutes goes by so quick. I've noticed my stomach muscles have tightened, and I feel great!
Comment by Danielle - July 19, 2006
This is the best work out I have found to help me get back into shape after having kids. I have had 4 kids and I have gotten my hips back down to 35 inches using Pliates. Also I feel so strong! If you use the 20min work-out 3 times a week, you will see a difference with in 2 weeks. Like every other work-out. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it. SO BREATHE AND STRETCH!
Comment by Theresa - July 21, 2006
First i didn't belive it!
I thought all what they said was crap! All of it was fake! And yes, they are all perfekt, and they say it's the best! But i have learnd , not to belive all what people say! But then i found out something, i belived; Jennifer Aniston use it! GEAT! And soon, i'll buy it!

This is the ONLY workout program that I can stick to. It does work as described in the infomercials. I have wasted alot of money on other programs. Once you get them, you find out there's alot more to it than what they described on TV. Winsor Pilates is just what they say on TV…nothing more. You do not HAVE to do the 60 minute workouts to get results…do them if you want to and for "more" strength and toning. I bought my first set about 4 years ago and got my sister and cousin hooked.
Comment by joan - July 29, 2006
I just bought it, just I haven't received it yet. I have tried other pilates videos, but I wanted to have the real deal. From what I have experienced so far is that it really does help with your posture, gives strength, and helps you feel refreshed after it is all done. I think Winsor Pilates is great for everyone, especially if you aren't the type that likes to jump around or have the time to work-out 60 minutes a day.
Comment by Crystal - July 31, 2006
I have been doing winsor pilates for two months now and have not lost any weight but I am a lot leaner and my muscles are very strong without the bulk. I love the way it has helped improve my posture so that I look and feel taller
Comment by Andréa - July 31, 2006
I weigh about 180 pounds and i'm only 14. So i was really depressed about me being fat and all. But then my mom bought winsor pilates and i have never seen any faster results. It easy and it's fun.I used to be a size 14-16 but now i'm a size 2. I lost70 pounds in just 3 months doing winsor while avoiding junkfood. I am sooo happy now because i finally have a hot boyfriend. YAHOO WINSOR PILATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Krystal - July 31, 2006
Winsor Pilates does work. I have been using for 3 years. I was 175 pounds and a size 14. I'm 133 pounds and a size 6. The 20 minute workout is great. Believe me, it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so lazy…how lazy you ask? I've had a two year membership at LA Fitness that is literally across the street from me. I wouldn't need my second hand to count how many times I've gone. I absolutely love Winsor Pilates n actually look forward to popping in the video and starting my fun work out with the
sculpting circle.
Comment by Larissa - August 25, 2006
I am 51 years old and worked out on and off since my twenties. I've gone through Jane Fonda video's and a membership at Bally's. I have gone through a long stretch of not exercising. I'm going to order Winsor Pilates and see how it works for me. I looks line something I would really like. I'll report back.
Comment by Joanne - August 25, 2006
just ordered it and can't wait to test it out for myself
Comment by amy - August 28, 2006
It is great! I've always believed in exercising and have always either jogged or done other exercise videos but was never happy with the bulk I formed. I tried Pilates 2-3yrs back but didn't feel the burn n couldn't appreciate it. Then I decided to give it a try again a few mnths back. I ordered couple of Winsor Pilates DVDs off ebay and I just LOVE it. I think all pilates videos are same, maybe Winsor Pilates just targets people by making their 20minute videos which seems easy. I haven't lost any big weight coz I was healthy even before I started it but I'm definitely toning up. I feel my core is getting stronger and I'm starting to look leaner than before. I think I'm a fan of Pilates now! Definitely give it a try - you'll love it!
Comment by SxD - August 29, 2006
I did ballet for about 9 years and stopped about 3 years ago. needless to say my flexibility went down the drain. I've been doing pilates for only 3 weeks and ALREADY I feel as flexible as I was 3 years ago. I can actualy FEEL my muscles being toned, Winsor Pilates is AMAZING!
Comment by Cheizi - August 31, 2006
In the past three years I've gained a lot of weight from stress and emotional eating and last year I bought the Winsor fat buring DVDs but I never did it because I hated the 50 minute aerobic excersize so much.
About 4 weeks ago I changed my eating habits and automatically my face got thinner and my clothes fit more loosely so 6 days ago I decided to speed it up by wholeheartedly starting the Winsor system but this time only alternating between the 20 min. burn basics and the 20 min. ab sculpting workouts. I've taken my measurements before hand and will do it again in a week and I'll comment on the hopeful change. I think it will work. I might add some cardio like jumping rope to acccelerate the weight loss.
I'm really inspired by most of the comments here but they almost sound like they were fabricated by the company, they're so positive. I hope they're real!!!!
Comment by Elle - September 3, 2006
I got one of the 20 min. ones (the one with "the seal" at the end) today and I've done it twice already but I don't really feel that much different and it wasn't hard at all, will it make a difference? did anyone else find that?
Comment by Sophie - September 5, 2006
Well, using the 20 min. workout is great, and I can feel the change more than I Can see the change:) But its fun and I think it will work for me if I can keep the good work going:) Good luck!
Comment by Elisabeth - September 6, 2006
I have been using the Winsor Pilates 20 minute workout for some time, and it definately tones me up! I have some spinal and foot injuries and therefore cannot do any kind of impact exercise, even walking. Winsor Pilates is the only thing I have found that I can do that works!

I've been using my friend's DVDs for about a year. This is the only video that I have ever had the motivation to do and to keep doing. The 20-minute workouts are excellent for people w/ short attention spans (like me). If I do the adv. body slimming workout soon after I wake up, I actually have increased mobility and flexibility throughout the day. (My joints will stay quiet. I walk more comfortably.) The exercises that I skip are the ones where you lie on your back and place your feet over your head; because I do the pilates in the A.M. while my body feels stiff, these particular exercises give me neck pain for the rest of the day. Thus, I simply skip these two and do more roll-ups, for example. What I also appreciate is Mari Winsor's no-nonsence approach. The exercises are do-able, and the narration is practical and not annoyingly peppy.
Major Results
13 Mar 2006 - Jan of Tennessee, USA writes:
I heard about Winsor Pilates about two years ago from a friend. I was just starting a weight lose program and I needed a good easy workout to get started. After the first use I thought, " I don't even feel worn out!" But the next day I felt like I had ran a marathon. I had sore muscles that I didn't even know I had! After about six months I had lost 50 pounds! I of course was on a very strict diet as well! But I will say that the workout becomes less effective after about a year and I switched to the advanced tapes. The good thing is they offer a variety of tapes to avoid the plateau! And I do them about 3-4 times a week!
So very slow
4 Mar 2006 - Jackie of California, USA writes:
I bought the system from the informercial over a year ago and still am having a difficult time with this system. It's just too slow and boring. I don't get it. Maria takes way too much time talking and demonstrating. I have now had another child and am planning a work-out routine again. I will give it another try. I'm 30 pounds heavier now so maybe it won't seem so slow again.

I am 27 n very out of shape, I needed a not too high impact, but sufficient w/o, so I wont pass out. I bought the original winsor fat burning workout program March 2005, used it for 3 months to lose weight. I lost weight and sculpted.I have a bad back and it made my back stronger and felt much better and helped my posture. If you use this program you will definetly see results but that is like anything else. I recently started using the program again and do see results again. They have new dvd's out & sell it in a full package on qvc, I am planning on purchasing the new video's and switching to them when I either get bored w/ the original or feel I have plateaued with it. I also am on the [] it works wonders & I will email the program free, thats how I got it, for anyone who wants it.
Great For Lower Abs

I love Winsor Pilates. I have had 3 c-sections w/last one being 1yr ago. My lower abs were a mess. Pilates has really helped me to tighten up my lower abs. I have a problem with my SI Joint (hip joint)and my chiropractor actually "PRESCRIBED" Pilates. This has really helped my spine and my whole core area in general.
23 Jan 2006 - Lori of Iowa, USA writes:
I started using this video about 2-3 weeks ago, and I think it is really great. I am very inflexible, and have stiff muscles. I think this video needs to be used in conjunction with a cardio/weights lifestyle. I think that it would be very difficult for someone to actually lose a lot of weight with this video.
23 Jan 2006 - Breanne of California, USA writes:
After the birth of my first son 3 years ago, I bought these videos to lose the pregnancy weight. It worked wonders and I was in better shape than I could have imagined. My stomach was flat again and my arms had definition. Now I am starting the program again after giving birth to my second son who is 8 months old. It takes about a month before seeing any defined results, but I know I'll be seeing them soon since it worked so well for me the first time. I love doing the 20 minute routine while watching tv because it's really easy to memorize and do on your own. It keeps me from getting bored. With the combination of cardio at the gym and pilates at home I'm looking forward to a knock-out body again!
18 Jan 2006 - Catherine of California, USA writes:
I first tried Winsor Pilates a couple of years ago. I noticed major results within the first three weeks. Winsor Pilates works the intire muscle. I was sore in places I had never been sore before. My Quad muscles were sore from my knee all the way up to my hip and my abs were sore from my groin up to my ribs. I recently had twins and have just started doing the exercises again. I am a law enforcement officer and these exercises boost my strength and allow me to do my job a lot better. I also hve back problems and this the only program I have been able to do without injuring my back more. I recommend this program to anyone wanting to get in shape.
8 Jan 2006 - Rachel of Iowa, USA writes:
I am 14 years old and am a little bit over weight and would really like to slim down. I would like to loose about 10 pounds, and from what I have heard, Winsor Pilates slims you down and helps you lose unwanted pounds and inches. I have only done the video a couple of times but I think it is fun so far. I didn't feel as much burn as I thought I would though, but I will try harder today to feel it. I will stick to the program and drink plenty of water because it helps me fill up and keeps me hydrated during workouts.

I purchased Winsor Pilates and the 1st time I used it I found it to be annoying due to having to look at the screen while laying on my back it hurt my NECK! About 1 yr later I tried it again and actually enjoyed them! I've lost plenty of weight and inches and I dont diet. The tapes are slow but they Work and they BURN if done correctly. I recomment them to anyone who wants a coke bottle shape and is dedicated to staying consistent.

I'm a varsity tennis player, and being overweight really gets in the way of my speed. I watched the infomercial for Winsor Pilates and decided to give it a try. Since I'm really busy as a student, I thought it'd be great to do it just 3 times a week, for just 20 mins each time. The program is pretty good and it helps stretch your muscles, but I didn't feel sore after the program and I didn't really feel like I did much of a workout. After a week I popped in the Accelerated Sculpting DVD but I still didn't feel sore. I still like doing the program, it's just that I'm not sure if I'm getting a workout. I'd recommend it to people who want to stretch and get a fun workout, but if you really want to lose weight you should work out with weights and do Winsor Pilates on the side (like I'm doing now.)

I tried this product about a year ago after seing the infomercial a bunch of times. I know it works because the workouts were really challenging, butI only tried it a few times because I found out it was not really my type of workout. I need something more fast paced to keep my attention. But I am positive that it will work if you stick to it. Just make sure you like low-impact, slower paced workouts before you buy it.
THE BEST!!! I started using Winsor Pilates in October 2004 and in the first two weeks I was doing it I saw HUGE results! (I did it 5 days a week). I lost 10lbs in TWO weeks!!(I also only drank water! LOTS OF IT!!! about 100 oz a day). I still do pilates and I still am seeing results. I also try and walk vigerously and alot. TRY IT!!! IT WORKS!!!
Hi I have the Winsor Pilates Basic, Accelerated body sculpt, power sculpting and 20 minute workout. I've had these tapes for over a year and used all of them, but I've since moved on to workouts that move at a pace that's a little less geriatric.

hi my name is ashley im 13 and i weight 130 pds. i did winsor pilates for a little over a week and then i went out of town for a week and didnt continue doing them.
Overall, I have to say, that if you are not a lazy person, this program is really quite excellent. Key factor: if you are not lazy. When this product first came out, I ordered the "whole enchilada"-all 7 DVDs. I was not disappointed. I got some "free" stuff, which I ended up throwing out. Mari Winsor's pilates are great, but pass on the "Win-in-10" meal plan; it is not nutritionally effective or sound

Winsor pilates are wonderful. I was always "thin", but for a long time I didn't feel toned. This workout is relaxing as well as intense. I did the accelerated tape for almost a year and then thought I would graduate on to some more intense weight/cardio tapes.

After giving birth to 2 children, I found myself unmotivated and 30 lbs overweight. Having seen the Winsor Pilates commercial countless times I decided to order. I had really gotten in the right mind set to lose the weight. I have had outstanding results!!!! I did not expect it to be a miracle cure and I did not expect it to happen as fast as it did. I began Dec 4 2004 and reached my goal weight by Feb 14 2005!!! I did not follow her meal plan, I used Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Solution to retrain my eating habits. I also walk for at least 20 minutes a day 4 days a week. However most of the credit goes to Mari Winsor and her products!! I have gone from a size 14 to a size 6 (sometimes a 4) in 3 months!!! If that doesn't convince you nothing will.

When I first got them, I was so excited to start since I had seen all the infomercials and success stories on T.V. I have to admit that I am pretty impacient when it somes to workouts. I want results and I want them relativly quickly. When I started with the basics tape, I found it to be a little slow, you really do need to learn the steps well. Once you get on to the other tapes, Mari makes almost no mention of the things you learned in that video. After doing it for about 3 months very regularly, I was very happy to see that my stomach looked a little flatter while trying on clothes in a store dressing room. Since I started high school, I have not been as diligent, but fully intend to start again.

I absolutely love Winsor Pilates. I lost 16 pounds and 4 inches in my waist in 6 weeks, with doing the 20 minute work out 5 days a week (along with eating healthy). For those who say the work outs are slow and boring, HELLO, it is pilates. It is supposed to be a slow calming work out (it is compared with yoga). That being said, I have never felt better with doing these work outs. I was in a better mood and my back pain was gone! Two thumbs up to Mari and her Winsor Pilates creation!!!

I started doing pilates at a gym with a certified instructor and had private sessions. I bought the tapes to do at home in between. My problem with Winsor pilates is that it's not completely in line with traditional pilates. I like the stott pilates tapes better (buy them [] they're cheaper) Stott's videos are much calmer and an even better workout.

Hi everybody! I'm back! I got the new Winsor Pilates Fat burning DVD. To be honest the routine is a little intimidating at first. This is not your mother's simple "Jane Fonda" aerobics tape. The cons are :the steps are challenging to master but I was able to do the whole tape the first time without stopping. And Mari does not cue you to the moves each time. You have to be a fast learner. The pros are: The music is great! She has live drummers and as Mari says , "You can't help but move your body to the beat of the drums!" Also a BIG plus for me, I did the tape in the morning and I haven't had any back pain all day!

I bought the Winsor Pilates basic workout with the accelerated workout bonus package in 2003 and was very impressed with the results I got - my tummy was flat before, and it went totally washboard and my buns got trim too. But after starting nursing school, I gained all those"sit and study" pounds and then the holidays came! I decided to make a change so I carved out time in my schedule for Mari and even ordered a few more of her newer DVDs. I didn't follow the meal plan, but tried to eat a little healthier, and I still lost 4 inches in 20 sessions and my muscles are toned! I am now on session 25 and can't wait for the next one. My posture is back to were it should be and I feel great. The best part is, all I needed to get back in shape was my living room floor, a pilates mat, a Winsor Pilates DVDs.

I have been looking for a long time for a workout that would work best for me. My mom recently introduced me to the Winsor pilates program. I think that Mari is so easy to follow, the workout really becomes enjoyable. My friends come over and we even do it together. We tried a Denise Austin pilates workout video yesterday, and it was so much harder to do than Mari's. I like how Mari goes slow and gives you adequate time to rest between each different exercise. I have been doing them for about a month, and I haven't lost any weight yet. However, even more important to me is that all over I just feel stronger. I have a lot more energy too. I am more aware of every muscle I have. I suggest this video to everyone!

I've been doing the Winsor Pilates 20 minute workout 6 days a week (instead of the 3 days a week that they suggest) for a month now and haven't noticed any loss in weight or inches. They only improvement is that I can touch my toes. I did notice a little soreness the first few days, so I was really excited that it must be working. Of course, the soreness went away and my fat belly, arms, legs and "tooshy" as Mari calls it, stayed with me. I am big chested and have a belly pouch, but was still able to do the exercises. I did notice some back pain that wasn't there before I started the Pilates. I'm a little discouraged about continuing these workouts since I've haven't seen any results. Kudos to all of you who have benefited from them. I s'pose it's back to the bowflex for me.

I purchased the tapes in November after encountering some difficulty in getting back into a fitness routine. It was simple and the eating plan is also very easy for me to follow, after 10 years as a vegetarian, recently returned to meat, I considered the options very healthy. By December I had dropped 6 pounds, with just the basic Winsor tape and the eating plan. My husband also dropped weight and he is not doing the tapes. By december I had enough momentum to incorporate more cardio and have done the Firm tapes with a variety of winsor pilates in between. I have lost a total of 11 pounds since I started the tapes and down to a size 4 which I have never been. The healthy eating is an important start, lucky for me I am very flexible with food, as long as it is healthy!

I purchased Winsor Pilates set in summer of 2002 in preparation for a vacation I was taking to Italy and wanted to lose a few inches before my trip. I faithfully did one routine EVERY day for 3 months and the results were absolutely amazing. Since then, I have continued to do one of the routines at least 2-4 times a week, depending on my schedule. I have two herniated disks in my lower back and these routines have made an incredible difference in my life in managing my pain. I became pregnant in July 2004 and because of Winsor pilates, I still have no back pain, even with my weight gain due to my pregnancy. I am in my 32nd week of pregnancy and I continue my routine - only the leg routine since the entire 20 min is on my side (you can't be on your back or work your abdominals extensively this far along in pregnancy!) and I know it has helped me keep my weight gain under control, while at the same time keeping my back pain to a minimum as well. And while I can't work out my abs right now, I can still tighten my "core" with ease - which I'm sure is due to using these videos for the past two years! I would HIGHLY recommend these videos to anyone - I'm your typical skeptic when it comes to this type of product, but Mari's system really works. However, it takes dedication on your part and consistancy to make it work - this is not a quick weight loss system or overnight body sculpting system. But the Winsor Pilates system can be a LIFE-CHANGING, habit-forming system that is absolutely worth every penny! Thank you for a remarkable difference you've made in my life Mari!

I wanted to use the Winsor Pilates system to firm up and lose some belly pudge. I never knew I had a sensitive neck until starting this program. I had to modify most of the movement and keep my head on the mat at all times. Thus decreasing the effectiveness of the workout. I loved the concept of a 20 minute workout. I could workout, shower, and dress in half an hour. I have since loaned my set out to a few friends to try before deciding to purchase.

I must say, I've read the reviews and generally, I do have to agree with them [Winsor Pilates is GREAT!!]. I worked out first with the 20 minute DVD, thought that it did not particularly work me well...but woke up the next day and WOW. I felt sore, but great! I also find that Mari is a tad slow, but after reading other reviews, it is true that you can use that time to perfect your positions and focus on your body at that moment. I also find that if I continue with the exercises after Mari told me to "stop" while she talked, it was an easy way to get in 3-5 more moves before re-positioning for the next move.

I've been doing Winsor Pilates for approximately two months. I originally bought the DVD's to lose weight but have discovered that it has been extremely helpful to my back. I've suffered with back pain for many years now (all to varying degrees). I honestly can't remember what it was like to have a pain free day. I've done many different exercise programs over the years (step, aerobics, walking, riding bike, etc.). All of them were of course beneficial and helped me gain energy and lose weight but I still suffered with back pain. Since I've started the Winsor Pilates, my back pain has been almost eliminated. I can feel the strength in my core. My balance is much better and I feel more agile. Even if I never dropped a single pound from this program, I'd still continue to use it to keep my back pain at bay. I see a difference in the way I look but still have to work at reducing my food intake before I start to lose any weight. The program is challenging but I can now do some of the exercises that I wasn't able to do in the beginning. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought the Winsor Pilates tapes a couple of years ago. The day after I first used them, I could hardly go to the bathroom because my abs hurt so much! I knew I wasn't in the best of shape, but I had no idea it was that bad. Still, I kept up with it and felt myself getting stronger every time. My problems with my lower back (after 4 pregnancies) actually got alot better. I'd like to think I'm probably the average consumer that buys something and doesn't really keep up with it even though I liked it. Such is the case with these tapes. I wasn't diligent enough to really loose the weight I need to, but even after all this time I can still see the benefits of the strength that I gained. I would definately recommend them.

When I wore for the first time after a month and a half of doing winsor pilates, I suddenly realized that I didn't have to hold my breath anymore. It fit me perfectly. So perfect that it was really loose. I actaully had to wear a belt to keep it from falling. And the shirts that I was tight on me last year, they're like extra large on me now. Even though I have not finished the winsor pilates yet, I know that I'm getting leaner and skinnier. I could even see some of my muscles developing. I'm so happy with winsor pilates. I recently purchased the Winsor Pilates Ab Sculpting video. I have been sticking with the program and I can say that it is probably the best program I have ever been on. I could feel results only after the 2nd workout! Some of the moves are difficult at first if you aren't particularly flexible, but if you stick with it you'll improve rather quickly. The other good thing about this workout is that I usually don't feel as achy the next day as I sometimes do when I do more static exercises like crunches. Excellent program!

Winsor pilates is not another fitness gimmick, but to see results you'll need to put in the effort. I found that the 20-minute video included in the basic TV offer was great, but was only great for the first two weeks or so. I think that people who are serious about getting in shape with pilates, or who aren't seriously overweight and want to get slim and toned, should go ahead and buy Mari's longer videos. I've been doing the advanced power sculpting (50 minutes) video 4-5 times per week and have seen great results.

Winsor Pilates is good stuff! I'm never going to look like the demonstators in the videos, but I'm slimmer, stronger, and more flexible now. People who complain that the videos are "too slow" or "too boring" have missed the point entirely! Pilates isn't about speed. It's about grace, strength, and good form, like yoga or tai chi. You have to engage your brain as well as your body in order to do it properly. If you just want to thrash around and work up a sweat, go do some cardio instead. But if you want a real challenge for your strength and coordination, if you want to make each breath count, give Pilates a try. Mari's a good instructor, the production values are very high (you can even choose the music you'd like to hear in some of the advanced videos) and you really will get results if you exercise consistently and pay attention to your form. A Pilates manual is a very useful supplement to these videos; I was able to improve my technique by studying diagrams and reading useful imformation about the more difficult moves.

I started the Winsor Pilates several months ago with a goal of losing weight and toning up for my sisters wedding. This is a great product. Low impact for those that don't or can't bounce around for aerobics. Mari is easy to listen to and follow. In little over a month I lost about 12 pounds just by following the 20 minute workout 3 times a week. I also tried to sneak in the Accelerated Workout at least once a week. Although when you have a toddler its hard to do more than a 20 minute workout. Combined with SlimFast and halfway sensible eating I've noticed a difference in my body. If you commit to this workout you WILL see results.

I purchased the original Winsor Pilates system back in January. Since then I've bought two more of the videos (Abs and Bun n Thighs). The videos move slowly, which can sometimes be a pain, but on the other hand, I feel I have to work harder just to hold the positions that long. I've noticed a significant difference. By doing the videos twice a day, for three times a week, I've found that I can lose up to an inch a week off my target areas. Plus I'm more flexible than I have been in a long time. I definitely recommend the videos. But results require effort!

As little as a few weeks from starting the program, I noticed that my leg muscles became more defined, and now my ab muscles are following as well. I've been using Winsor Pilates for several months now and I really enjoy the workout. I have toned up and lost weight. Initially the slow pace of the videos is good so you can learn the routines, but after awhile it gets boring to hear the instructions over and over again. So I ordered the Winsor Pilates bun and thigh workout and the 20 minute accelerated workout - these videos don't have instructions for beginners and you work at a nice steady pace. I really enjoy these new videos and feel that I get a good workout and I'm not bored while doing them

The Winsor pilates movements come the closest to the original technique started by Pilates himself. All three videos make it easy to understand and safe. The exercises move slowly enough for beginners to adjust, but quickly enough for experienced folks to stay interested (and get a few extra in). They include both the modified and hardcore versions of each exercise, which is nice. I find the hour long video a little lagging after about 45 minutes, but I keep reminding myself that Pilates is GREAT when done right. Mari is a great rep for this magical exercise.

I got the Winsor Pilates for Christmas. I haven't used it consistently, and it's now July! I recently did the dvd's, and I really felt a huge burn in my abs and hips. I like the slow pace, but some of the moves are hard if you are overweight and have a large chest. If you want to lose weight, don't rely on the pilates program alone. Incorporate some kind of cardio in your routine, do it 4-5 times a week, and eat sensibly. The meal plan that she includes is really awful and expensive. Who wants to eat oatmeal and cottage mixed together? Not me! A basic low fat high fiber diet at 1400-1500 calories should be sufficent, and not cost a bundle. All in all, I really do like the workout. It's good on my back, and I'm feeling stronger. It's a good stretching and toning workout, and it really helps with abs. I would recommend it for beginners, but I can see how some exersise fanatics probably wouldn't like it.

Reading some of these reviews was a little disheartening, I will admit, but I still think its worth sticking with it for a few more months despite the so called "horror stories." I really think many of these dissatisfied people are not positioning themselves correctly and I think Mari's slow talking is a breath of fresh air compared to the usual fake, perky, yelling of many other instructors. Good luck to all, and stick with it. You have absolutely nothing to lose, but the pounds!

I have been doing the Winsor Pilates 20 minute DVD for about two weeks now. Actually 12 days altogether because I have one day where I just rest. The positions and moves are fairly easy, but they kill the neck (especially for beginners). After a few days, it doesn't hurt anymore. The good news is my stomach has flattened a bit. That's the only visible result I can find at least. Other than that, everything on me is pretty much the same. I'm a lot more flexible, but I kind of expected quicker results. I don't have time for the advanced workout (I have school, work and a little sister I have to take care of). I think it best to do pilates and some form of cardio, because pilates don't make you lose weight. They just tone you.

I purchased all of the winsor system a little while ago. It wasn't until after the birth of my daughter, however, that i tried them out. After a few weeks of doing the 20 min workout 3-4 times a day, I feel stronger, taller, more flexible and more toned. I would not be misleading in saying that my body looks better than ever. It would be impossible to tell, that I've had a baby at all. I can also say, that Winsor Pilates has also helped with my Anxiety Disorder. I feel more relaxed and energized. I feel motivated. It is important to realize, that pilates can take awhile to show significant improvements in muscle tone. Then again, it takes longer to lose the muscle tone which has been achieved by doing pilates. Each time you do the exercises, you become more aware of your body and learn something new. My partner has also been doing the program. After many years of basketball and weights, he suffers from stress fractures in his lower back and tendonitis in his knees. Thanks to pilates, he will play basketball again. We both highly reccommend the program. If you are going to do it, take it seriously and be patient.

Winsor Pilates is great! I love it. For those who say it's boring and didn't want to do it anymore, you didn't want to do it because you couldn't do the routines. If you stick with it, you will see great results and be very pround that you did do it. Try it and you will get strong lose weight inches and much more. You will have a sexy body. Yes, she does go slow, but that's ok IF you like the slow pace, if you don't then tae-bo is for you. Not saying I don't like tae-bo I do, but like I said if Pilates is not for you then something fast is for you. One more thing, Pilates does help you lose weight, if you stcik with it and stay in the frame of the body and tighten up your power house you will lose weight. The burning tells you it's working. As for the food, I don't eat like that so I wont be following it at all, just portion your meals and you will be ok. Trust me. I used to weigh 255 pound, yes I said 255 I lost the pounds in 5 months cause I kept to it, I did it everyday, even if I wasn't in the mood, I did it anyway, and it paid off big time! Now with Pilates I'm down to 175 and I love it! Try it I did, and I got strong and I lost weight! It's 2 thumbs up for me.

If your breathing correctly and pushing your belly button into your spine through every excercise than you will totally see results. I think some people who are having neck are back pains are not positioned correctly when performing some of the exercises. I have not had any pain. You can really feel the exercises during and after. Some people might find the exercises boring, because some exercises are slow in movement. But, the reason why the slow movement in some exercises is to isolate that muscle. Isolating a muscle makes the muscle work harder and you can really feel it! I would defiantly suggest Winsor Pilates to anyone who wants to try something different in their workout program or someone just starting out. If you are just starting out, they have someone who is doing a modified exercise. It's great! Give it a try!

The video is a bit slow paced but it helps you focus on what you are doing and the longer you hold the moves, the better results you will see. My goal is to lose 10 pounds and get back my dancer's body and with a stricter diet I know Winsor Pilates will help me achieve that goal. I give it 5 stars!

I am a 16 year-old soccer player, but i decided I should change up my strict cardio routine. Initially I began doing pilates with a different pilates DVD, which I found fairly good, but also somewhat short. Because of this I borrowed the Accelerated Winsor Pilates tape from a friend for about a month. I found that Mari speaks exceedingly slow about the exercises and isnt' very knowledgeable. Because she speaks slowly, one holds the unnatural positions for a longer period of time, causing neck and back strain. Ths happened to me and had never been a problem prior to using Winsor Pilates. When my father bought a set of the Winsor Pilates DVD for myself, I decided to restart from the basics and work my way up. My muscles have strengthened, but i was toned and muscular prior to using pilates. I still find i have problems with neck strain, so i revert to my old pilates program occasionally. I would also like to remind people that feeling a burn that lasts for a couple days is not a good thing. Soreness in muscles should only last a day, and if you do the workout routinely, the soreness should lessen. I'd only reccomend this program to people who have strong muscles already and not have a history with neck or spinal problems.

I just bought the winsor pilates program on DVD yesterday which includes the basics step-by-step, the 20 minute workout, and the accelerated body sculpting workout. Well anyways as soom as i got it i first WATCHED the step-by-step and the 20 minute workout...then i did the 20 minute workout and some of the accelerated body sculpting workout...yesterday i didn't feel anything except that i was a lilttle tired because some steps are very difficult, but today, OMG when i woke up my whole body was sore...i'm actually happy about this because this tells me it's working and i'm going to keep on doing it! I'TS A GREAT PROGRAM so far.

This workout was OK, but I wasn't really impressed. I did the accelerated workout 4-5 days/week for 3 months and didn't see much in the way of results. That might have been due to the fact that I'm a fairly advanced exerciser, I don't know. I found the accelerated workout fairly easy to do the first time through, and barely felt anything the following day. Normally I'm at least a little bit sore the day after a new workout. I think Winsor Pilates is geared more toward the beginning exerciser. I got much better results with the Slim Series.

I am a former collegiate athlete, so I can handle just about any workout. Because I am trying to spare my joints for future use, I decided to taper down on my running workouts and other high intensity workouts for something a bit more relaxing. Many fellow athletes suggested Winsor Pilates. I purchased Winsor Pilates thinking that I would be getting a less strenuous workout. I was SO WRONG! My back cramped up and there was a strain in my neck. For me, having this type of pain from something that's supposed to be better for you than weight training is unusual. It worried me; was I doing it wrong? But I'm very coordinated. I have a background in dance. So I checked with a highly qualified national trainer afterwards and he suggested I stick with Hatha Yoga. You won't burn a ton of fat, but it will save you from pain and strain, thus you're able to gain flexibility. More power to the people that swear by this product, but I think there are better alternatives out there. (By the way-I also found out I wasn't doing it wrong.)

I have been using this video for a couple weeks now and although I have not lost weight (not really using it to lose weight), I have noticed that my "problem area", my saddlebags, have gotten noticeably smaller. I also have much improved strength and flexibility. I just watched this video at a friend's house. Didn't actually do it, just watched and was amazed that Mari Winsor was a fitness instructor that DIDN'T make me sick. I actually want to finish the video for her. And lastly, the length of the exercise is superb. It's only 20 minutes and therefore I do it whenever I have a free second. It's Great!!! I highly recommend it!!

unlike the other people who submitted reviews, i bougth these tapes for the purpose of reducing stress, because i suffer from depression. They are relaxing, soothing, and make me feel uplifted. A big bonus is that in addition to feeling more energized and happy throughout the day, after only two weeks of doing this program i can see amazing ab definition and and feel my legs tightening up. I love Winsor Pilates!!!!

I have never wanted to exercise more than I do now! Pilates alone is a great system, and I was doing a basic version of it before I found Mari's program. Her program targets more of the things I want to work on and is so much more fun! Mari is so encouraging and pilates is such a great workout for your mind and body. Being a singer, a lot of the areas worked on in Winsor have actually improved my singing! Try this for sure!

I have been following home exercise videos for years. After going through a period of inactivity due to stress I felt I needed to get back into a fitness regime. Winsor Pilates was a perfect way to get me motivated about fitness again! I feel more "lifted" and "leaner" and my posture has improved incredibly. I'm in IT so sit at a computer a lot. It has really helped to strengthen my back, neck shoulders and abs. Thanks to all of your reviews. After 4 weeks my clothes feel like they are falling off but my overall weight appears to be stable. As I read from others' reviews it helps to do some additional cardio which I will start to do as well. Overall Winsor Pilates makes you feel confidant and amazed at how flexible and strong your body can be.

I have to agree with several of the reviews here: Winsor Pilates is NOT for weight loss (at least not for most-- I'm glad it worked for some of you). I'm not even sure it's that great for toning. Maybe if I did the tape 3 times a day every day there would be a toning effect? I think the tapes are a great way to stretch and get some flexibility, so you can do other home workouts and put the Winsor tapes in afterward for a good relaxing stretch. But they don't get your heart rate up or make you sweat much, so if your goal is to lose weight, the tapes alone won't get you there

I just started this video two days ago and let me tell you I've never felt my abs so tight! I used to do over two hundred sit ups a day and would wake up with the slightest twinge in my abs and a stabbing pain in my back. With winsor pilates I don't have any pain in my back at all and my abs are sooo tight feeling. You have to listen to what Mari says to do in the video though. Suck in your stomach, breath right, and you'll feel it!
- Carolyn of Ontario, Canada writes:
I was pleased with the Winsor tapes, although I did expect them to be a little more challenging. I rotate the accelerated workout with my old "Abs of Steel" tapes to give my muscles more variety. The exercises are different, which I liked because I already have strong abdominal muscles. I've only been doing it for two weeks, but really see a difference in my glutes. The "dent" on the side of my butt is getting deeper by the day! I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to begin toning an already basically slim body. I don't think it is especially useful for overweight individuals unless it is combined with good cardio and a decent diet. Mari is pleasant and encouraging, and although I do get a little impatient with the lengthy preparations for each exercise, I simply fill the time by doing a couple extra sets while the intructors are getting into position.

I love Winsor Pilates! I am quite fit, and am able to do the 20 minute routine with my overweight mother every evening and add in a few 45 minute routines every week and we are both experiencing life-changing results. My mom has lost 2 pounds per week for the past 7 weeks!! I have slimmed down to my high-school weight (down 20 pounds!) I feel relaxed and I can feel my stomach hardening each time I complete a workout. Mari is wonderful and soothing. I love this program!!!

Despite my doubts, I ordered Winsor Pilates after never having bought an infomercial product in my life. I've been doing the tapes (well, DVDs) for about two weeks, and I can really feel a difference. I was a serious ballet dancer for about 12 years before I quit about 5 years ago and really haven't done any excercise since. I tried yoga, but I only felt like I was stretching and not getting any real excercise. Pilates is exactly what I was looking for. While I'm not overweight, my body has lacked any serious definition for a long time, but I can already feel my rear end tightening and my abs getting stronger. I totally recommend this product to anyone who has some flexibility and needs to tone up.
- Melinda of Arkansas, USA writes:
I ordered Winsor Pilates thinking I could lose my post pregnancy weight. It was a great streching exercise. But, being overweight by 20 pounds, it is very hard to do some of the moves. The tapes were so unbelievable boring, I dreaded even putting them on, I knew after the first time I veiwed them i would not be able to stand it. The instructors are like robots, and it just moves too slow. I have found that THE FIRM with FANNY LIFTER works excellent (3 pounds my first week working out every other day). Maybe after I lose my weight Winsor Pilates will work better for me, so for weight loss, it is not helpful, but if you are in shape, and have no weight to lose, I think it would help you to become more flexible.
- Sally of Oklahoma, USA writes:
I have been using the "Winsor System" for about 5 weeks now and have to say that this is the best workout I have ever done. I have done the Firm tapes off and on for several years, but since I tend to "bulk up" easily, I never got any "smaller". These tapes have made my "core" muscles so much stronger that they've ever been, and I've already lost 4 inches! I believe that if you do these tapes carefully and faithfully, you couldn't help but LOOK and FEEL better within a few weeks.

I'm 47 years old and have been exercising fairly consistently for 20 years, aerobics, weight training, running, treadmill, the firms, etc, etc. After the birht of my 2nd child I gained 40 lbs that I have spent the last 10 years trying to get rid of to no avail, but I did continue to workout. 40 additional pounds on a 5'2" body is not a good thing! I ordered Winsor pilates six months ago. I wanted a workout that was not going to bulk up my excess weight and tone and slim me down. I LOVE Winsor pilates, and do it 3 times a week. It not only helped me to become more flexible, but toned and strengthened my body especially my abs and back better than any exercise I have tried before and I am down 30 lbs and feel certain that I will lose the final 10 by the summer. I feel great and even my kids have noticed the difference. Winsor pilates might not be for everyone, one size of anything does not fit all. But for me it's a perfect fit not just physically, but also in how it relaxes not just my body but my mind.

I purchased the Winsor Pilates in December. I haven't been able to do them on a constant basis. But it is now march. I have lost about 3 inches on my hips and 2 inches off my waist. My legs however, there getting toned but the fat isn't coming off. You can see muscle under the fat. It is kinda weird. It is a boring tape but once you get the exercises down packed you can listen to music! I found it very easy on the knees. I aslo like the ab and leg exercises. I dont like the back and neck streches. I do all that when i do my warm up. I found pilates for dummies is much cheaper and more informative than the winsor! It is only 9.95 compared to 59.00!

I purchased the original Winsor Pilates set over 1 year ago. My intent was to, as the infomercial claimed, "sculpt my body slim." The package arrived and I was upset to find the directions state in small print, you have to do the tapes and walk 3-5 miles EVERYDAY and follow their strict diet in order to lose weight-which is NOT stated in their infomercial-the infomercial states 20 minutes 3 x's/week! Needless to say, I have lost 0 pounds/inches from this set! I still do the advanced tape 2-3 times a week because it feels good on my back and I find it relaxing to do, but I do NOT recommend this for weight loss!
- Megan of Ontario, Canada writes:
Personally I dont think that Winsor Pilates is as great as the infomercials make it sound. I am 14 years old and I dance so it's not like I'm overweight but could lose a few inches here and there. After I do the work out I don't really feel like I've worked out, it just puts a weird strain on my neck, and I've been doing the exercises for about 2 weeks now and haven't really felt any changes. I would not recommend Winsor Pilates unless you are willing to follow the crazy eating plan, and even still I'm not confident that it would work.

I have tried many different exercise tapes, walking, biking, the gym, etc. While they all worked somewhat, nothing addressed specific areas like Winsor Pilates. I can't believe the difference in my body after only a month! I lost inches, my legs don't giggle any more, my butt is higher and tighter, my hips (biggest problem area) are slimmer, my abs are starting to look cut... People keep asking me what I'm doing. It feels good to hear that. Most of all, I feel really energized and healthy. And we all know muscle burns more calories than fat... I recommend this highly!

I've been using the Winsor Pilates Videos for 3 weeks and I'm seeing great results. She has a Basic tape that you MUST watch before you try any of the exercises that show you the proper positions. I'm a female age 47 and was really out of shape. Today I was able to use the Ab Sculpting Video for the first time. I used the Basic Video, the 20-Minute Workout, Upper Body Sculpting and Bun n Thigh Sculpting Videos every day for the first week. Then I dropped the Basic and just used the others. I watched each Video before I tried the exercises the first time. I still can't use the Advanced Body Sculpting or the Accelerated Sculpting Videos yet, but I am building strength every day. The only equipment I have used has been a mat and some 1 pound dumb bells. It seems there are other types of Pilates exercises that require more equipment but not the Winsor Pilates series. No other exercise program I've used has ever worked like this. I'm very happy I ordered the video! s and feel they were well worth the money.

I have been doing Winsor Pilates for almost 2 weeks now. I have been used the 20 minute tape everyday. I am beginning to see definition in my abs and my legs are feeling much better. I love the DVDs. I like the slow pace because it is not overwhelming. I have tried other Pilate tapes and have not been able to complete the tapes. Mari's DVDs are great. I do agree that the food is not realistic. I think that as long as you eat heathly, drink water, and do the DVDs, you should see results. I love it. Thanks Mari!

I had seen the infomercial pretty regularly on the T.V. and made a comment to my husband about it, who decided he would buy it for me. We started about a week ago, and already I can feel a difference in my abs. Though my arms and legs are skinny, my abs have always been a problem area. Already I can tell that they are flatter, and my husband has noticed too. Also, I've noticed that I'm a bit stronger. I have to do a lot of lifting at my job that usually required myself and another person, but I was able to do it by myself for the first time in months. I highly recommend the Winsor Pilates system, though we decided not to use the meal plan. We're already on a budget, and there are some meals that are just to out there for us picky eaters.

I got Winsor Pilates 5 weeks ago and I LOVE it. I do it every morning when I get up, and I have so much energy for the rest of the day. It took (and is still taking) a while to get the positions down right, but there are modified positions. The meal plan (I think anyway) is really stupid. If a person actually ate that little of food, no kidding they'd lose weight. Otherwise, the videos are great!
Dana of Nebraska, USA writes:
I really enjoy the Winsor Pilates system. My husband and I have been doing them everyday and within just one week we have increased our flexibility. Initially when I asked my husband to do them with me, he thought that it was a wimpy workout but about 2 minutes in he was straining just to lift his own legs, that's when he started doing the modifications! The only downfall for the tapes is that Mari goes SO slow explaining the correct position. The targeting tapes are great. Also you could do one different tape every day and have a nice workout that doesn't get boring.

I purchased the video set approx. 3 weeks ago and in order to see what it could achieve on it's own, I stopped cardio for 2 weeks. I am extremely happy with the results! I truly believe the "after 10 sessions... after 20 sessions..." etc - it really has made a visible different (I've been doing the 50 minute workout about 5 times per week for 2 weeks) - not 'dieting' - and others have noticed the change too. I'm tighter through my midsection and butt/thighs. I should probably mention I've been weight training and a gym rat for 20 years, so I do know what works for my body and what doesn't. The Winsor Pilates definitely works for me!

My father bought the winsor Pilates videos about two weeks ago. He tried them once and thought they were a great exercise. I tried them once and now I am hooked! I do the accelerated body sculpting video almost everyday and I can see the difference in my abs. I am a dancer so I did not see much difference in my legs but I could feel them getting a little more muscular. I was actually very fit to begin with but now I am even more fit! This is wonderful! Anyone who is looking to get fit, this is the product for you!

Winsor pilates is amazing. I do it 6 to 7 days a week and I can say after a month the improvement is wonderful. I never follow an eating plan but I do exercise everyday and this was the best I have ever tried.

I bought Winsor Pilates a week ago. I have used it twice so far and I can already feel abs! I'm 16 years old, and pretty fit, but I often use the modified versions. I definitely recommend these videos to people who want to tone and strengthen their muscles, but not for people who expect to lose great amounts of weight.

I am 18 and a college freshman. I started Winsor Pilates about the same time I started school. I have to make myself do it, but just because I hate to exercise. I've only done it consistently for about 2 weeks...and although I can't see a difference yet...I can feel one. I can now to twice as many crunches as I could before I started, and it's not as hard for me to do the 20 minute workout video as it was when I first started. Some of the things are really tough to do at first. But, that only tells me that once I am able to do it, the pilates is working.
- Phyllis of California, USA writes:
I saw the Winsor Pilates commercial on TV and ordered it right away. As a regular "home video exerciser", I was looking to add something different to my routine. I hated the tapes! I thought they were to slow and boring. These might be fine for a beginner but not for someone that has been doing other workout tapes for years (I have been doing The Firm tapes since they came out in the 1980's). I would advise to anyone who has had dance training (ballet or jazz) or done The Firm workout tapes, to stay away from these as they would probably be to slow for you.
- Roxanne of Ontario, Canada writes:
I have a bad back so running and lifting weights hasn't really done my back any justice. I've lost weight working out, but haven't really toned which is what I want to do. I started Winsor Pilates 3 weeks ago, and yeah, the tapes seem a bit slow, but when you start them and do them correctly, your stomach will let you know. I haven't noticed a change in my appearance yet, but I can feel a change. And most of all, I am not exhausted after doing it and my back doesn't hurt. It's all about stretching the muscles, not straining them, and that I love.
- Heidi of Minnesota, USA writes:
I purchased Winsor Pilates about 6 mos. ago. I am an avid runner and purchased the tapes as a way to workout with less stress on my body. I think the tapes are good for anyone combining them with cardio. They are a good alternative to your days off. The moves are challenging, and despite being able to run 5 miles a day, I too was sore after completing the advanced tape.
- Leigh of Hawaii, USA writes:
I just started Winsor Pilates 1 week ago and WOW! I already can feel the results. After one day - I knew this was it. I have NEVER liked exercise -this is the only program I think I can actually do and IT WORKS! I know some people think it is slow, but that works well for me because it is constantly reminding me how to do the positions and breathing PROPERLY - sometimes I find myself letting my breathing go and the tape puts me back on track - because what is the point in doing the exercises if your not doing them right!
- Kayli of British Columbia, Canada writes:
As an avid exerciser and an owner of about 50 exercise tapes, I found Winsor Pilates to be one of the more disappointing ones. It was extremely slow and boring. I found myself fast-forwarding through much of the tape. I run an average of 25 miles a week and strength train about 3 times a week. I thought Winsor Pilates would help me relax and stretch my muscles, but all it did was frustrate and bore me. I admit that the infomercials were very convincing, but I honestly don't think that anyone will be able to lose any weight or develop "long, lean muscles" with the tapes. Save your money.
- Christine of Washington, USA writes:
Overall, albeit after only 8 workouts,I give a favorable review of Winsor Pilates. I did use The Firm in the past and thought it was quite good but quit using it over time. I think it eventually became boring. Currently, I lift weights twice a week, walk, and use aerobic exercise machines at the gym periodically. Winsor Pilates is the first home workout I actually look forward to doing. The exercises are enjoyable, moreso than others I've tried- I'd even say "fun" because they make me feel graceful, I can see my balance, strength and stretching ability improve with each workout, and they are different from anything I've done before. As far as results I do feel tighter already but of course weight loss remains to be seen.
- Nancy of Washington, USA writes:
I tried out Winsor Pilates in a local studio. I had a one-on-one instructor for a number of weeks, so I was sure to be doing the exercises correctly. On the positive side I will say the exercises felt good, and by the end of a session I felt well-stretched. On the other hand, I was a little suspicious about them doing much good because I never breathed hard, nor did I ever really feel any muscle burn.
